Lock Chime

About

Truman saying Good Morning to everyone from the Truman Show.

How to set this as your Tesla lock chime

Requires a .wav under 1 MB and a USB drive. Plays through the external speaker.

  1. 1
Download the chime file. It saves as LockChime.wav — already named exactly how Tesla expects it.
  2. 2
No reformatting needed — you can reuse the USB drive that came with the car for the dashcam. Just unplug it.
  3. 3
Copy LockChime.wav directly to the USB root — do not put it inside any folder (not in TeslaCam, Boombox, etc.).
  4. 4
Plug the USB back into a front data port (glovebox or center console). Rear ports are power-only.
  5. 5
On the touchscreen open Toybox → Boombox → Lock Sound and switch from "Default" to "USB". Lock the car to hear your new chime.
No sound? Make sure LockChime.wav sits at the USB root (not inside a folder) and that Boombox is visible in Toybox (your car needs the Pedestrian Warning Speaker).
