How to load this lightshow on your Tesla
Requires a .fseq file + matching MP3, and a USB drive.
- 1Download the .fseq file (and its matching .mp3) to your computer.
- 2Use an empty USB flash drive with no
TeslaCamfolder on it. If the car still doesn't see the USB after completing all the steps below, you may need to format the drive as FAT32 or exFAT (NTFS is not supported). - 3At the USB root, create a folder named exactly
LightShow(capital L and S, case-sensitive). - 4Copy the .fseq and .mp3 files into the
LightShowfolder. The two filenames must match exactly (e.g.myshow.fseq+myshow.mp3). - 5Plug the USB into a data-capable port. For most cars this is in the glovebox or under the screen in the front storage area — rear ports are power-only.
- 6From the touchscreen open Toybox → Light Show → Schedule Show. If the files are correct you'll see Custom Light Show in the dropdown — select it and enjoy.
- 7You can also schedule from the Tesla app without sitting in the car: open the app, tap Schedule → Light Show, pick your custom file, set a start time, and tap Confirm. A countdown begins — you can cancel or stop it anytime.
- 8Sentry Mode must be turned off for you to schedule a lightshow from the app — turn it off in the app under Security → Sentry Mode or on the touchscreen.
If the custom show does not show up, your USB format or folder name is wrong. Confirm the folder is exactly
LightShow and the filenames match. A .wav at 44.1 kHz gives the best sync.Comments (0)
